Urban Active Wheelchair (Wheelchair Reference Pack)
A Light-weight, rigid frame wheelchair designed for a character in a mostly urban environment who lives an active lifestyle.
Comes with:
a .blend (Blender file) file containing basic materials (shaders) that can be edited
an .obj and .mtl file, which can be imported directly into Clip Studio Paint or other 3D modelling programs
A link to the instruction manual which includes guides on how to do things like change the colour of the frame in blender, import the files into Clip Studio Paint and more.
What kind of character would this wheelchair suit?
This wheelchair was based on one of my previous wheelchairs. It was designed for someone who is independent, doesn't really need much extra support in the seating and able to push themselves unassisted. Despite that, the handles are still present, but they're able to be folded down when not in use so the option for help is still there if needed.
It would be well-suited for a character who lives in an urban environment where they likely won't need to go off-road often, prioritising speed and manoeuvrability on mostly even flat, even surfaces. The bar on the back of this chair's seat is to help lift the wheelchair in and out of vehicles, but means this chair can not be folded down. It would be best suited to a leg amputee character, a character with a low spinal injury or other kinds of paralysis or muscle weakness in their lower body (mostly from the pelvis down).
